Sport Shooting in Northwest Arkansas Part 1

It's an interesting time in the sport shooting world. With the 2024 Olympics in-sighting an explosion in the shooting sports world, we have felt that effect all the way into the interior of the country. In Arkansas. Wild.

We at Graco guns have been exploring and finding the various places to enjoy clay shooting in the Northwest Arkansas area. A few standouts, which are open to the public have been Gun Smoke Sporting Clays in Pea Ridge, AR and Outlaw Ridge in Pineville, MO, just a short drive from NWA. 

At Outlaw Ridge, we were met with a picturesque setting typical of the Ozarks. A 10 stand sporting clays course ran by the fantastic hosts CJ and Donise Malone, was cascaded along the ridge above a rifle range. Compact, yet comfortable. The targets flew out of the traps with a bit more motivation than we were expecting, but after a few stands we were busting clays in rythm and ending the course with a fun, over-head driven style bird that we don't often see in the states. 

Overall we had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back, but next time we will be better bundled up and expecting the clays to be lively.
